At a news conference earlier this month, Colorado coach Dan Hawkins, trying to turn around a Buffaloes team that went 2-10 overall and 2-6 in the Big 12, had a loud and clear message for players who think his training regime is too tough: Go play intramurals.

I cannot believe a parent sent that letter given that these players are adults and parents are technically involved in the program only as a courtesy.
Coach Hawkins is right. If you want time off and you don't want to give 100%, then go play intramurals. I'd bet there are 10 other guys who would kill for that scholarship. So quit complaining and get to work.
