Thought this can be a new thread for general soccer (football) news:

Just read that AC Milan made an offer to have Ronaldo play for them which means he would be leaving Real Madrid.

Is it true that Figo is transferring to the new Toronto FC of the MLS?

heard that rumor, but i dont think there is much to it. ive also hear that FC Dallas is working on Edgar Davids and that looks to be credible. Houston is working on a Mexican league player. and Red Bulls had been working on Ronaldo and Figo.

Edgar Davids is flippin sweet. Totterham was my team in FIFA '06 and he was a baller. I would actually watch the MLS if they start pulling in some good talent. Beckham is a start but they are going to need to land some other big names to really make the MLS a top notch league. Did anyone catch the Man U. vs. Arsenal finish? 2 goals in the last 10 min, Henry header to win the game. Best game I have seen in a long time!

i was gonna report that news that Davids signed with Ajax, but you beat me to it. ONe of the USs best defenders Oguchi Onyewu is being transferred to Marseille in France. He was linked with Chelski, Fulham, Ac Milan, Real Madrid, etc.

i watched the whole Arsenal v. Man U game and i was furious during most of it cuz of Christiano Ronaldo diving and flopping all over the place. i wouldve given him a yellow card early in the second half. he earned one later. Henry got me a bunch of points for my fantasy teams. the game truned great right after Henry struck that header.

Real Madrid and AC Milan $1.3 million apart on Ronaldo transfer

NOTE: Both teams have until tomorrow under FIFA rules to complete their negotiations.

Soccer's tale of two Ronaldos

NOTE: Cristiano Ronaldo is a really annoying flopping footballer I have ever seen especially his ridiculous flopping and diving at the World Cup.

Yeah he has the occasional dive, like everyone else in soccer, but the kid has the fastest feet i have ever seen and can do things with a soccer ball that I have never seen before, just look up his clips on YouTube, His skills definately outweigh his diving downside.

Oguchi Onyewu is going to Newcastle (my squad). He will be on loan for a year, but they are going to try and sign him as a full time guy.

MLS...I don't watch a whole lot of it because...1. the talent is not that great. 2. The crowds and environment are nothing like the EPL and La Liga, etc. I really hope the MLS gets better and I think it will.

One thing I think they should try to do, and it may be a stretch, is play its season at the same time the Euro Leagues do. Yes, the weather in the mid-west and NE would be an issue, but they could work around it by playing their Southern and West Coast games in December, January, and February. Plus, they could also have some Neutral site games inside during those months. Most teams in the EPL have about 15 games during that time frame, so it could work out.
