I have mixed emotions about this. I'm happy that we can expect something different next (note I said different, not necessarily better).Stryker mentioned in the BCS board that FSU has some of the worst fans in the world. The worst of them came out in full force today.

I have to establish that I am guilty of calling for Jeff Bowden's removal, plain and simple he was in over his head and never displayed any creativity in his offensive schemes. In the years prior to Jeff we had Mark Richt (head coach Georgia for those who didnt know) and he had the stones to call some nasty trick plays and just all around knew how to utilize the talent he was given. I'm not a football expert but I know what I've been watching and every game for the past 5 years, our offense has shown very few glimpses of anything that resembles a D-IA powerhouse offense. It's been so frustrating watching all the talent that we've had go to waste on screen passes, Shotgun HB draws, Play Action jump balls, and of course a run up the gut...on 3rd and long. I would've actually prefer he just be demoted back to his old post of WR coach, but no one would ever want to suffer that kind of humiliation.

But that era has reached its end, and Florida State students, the class acts that we are, start celebrating and kicking the guy while hes down. I have nothing but respect for the guy for realizing the situation and what is at stake with his father's legacy with a team that is no longer feared throughout the nation. He saw the situation, he knew he'd had plenty of years to get something going, and he made the right choice to step down. But alot of people here dont seem to leave it at that nor do they grasp the concept of respect, class, humility, or any other virtue that would suggest that they have any love for this school or Bobby Bowden. When flyers are plastered all over campus displaying t-shirts with various slogans like "Christmas comes early this year....Thanks Jeff!" It makes me wonder why Bobby would ever want to stay at a place with such blood sucking vultures for fans.

"Florida State has the greatest fans in the World." words out of Jeff Bowden's mouth, I would've thought it was sarcasm, had I not seen the film clip. The guy's nuts, these people suck.

I am disappointed, this thread has nothing to do with Lee majors! Very misleading to us fans of "the unknown stuntman"...
