Knock off a top 5 team? Sure. Lose the following week to a nobody? You bet. These teams drive me crazy with their inconsistency-

Clemson
NC State
Michigan State
UCLA

Please add to the list as other teams burn you in pools and pick'm contests.

I see what you are getting at w/ regard to NC State and Michigan State.... But Clemson? They lost in double OT on the road at Boston College (conference game). Hardly a nobody.

BC was ranked & undefeated until they lost on the last play of the game at NC State.

Can't you add FSU to the mix? Beat Miami, beat Troy, then lose to Clemson, beat Rice, and now lose to NC State... :?

FSU just plain stinks. Bet on them at your own peril. (the Duke game notwithstanding)

There are 3 solid, incontrovertible facts about Spartan football.

1. They ALWAYS loose a game they shouldn't.

2. They ALWAYS win a game they shouldn't.

3. They ALWAYS melt down at least once a season.

They've done 1 and 3...

So why is he on your list of frauds? Look at what he did at Stanford! They certainly miss him there...

Willingham is a fraud in the same way the Mack Brown was until this past January. His teams did well his first year or two but then what? All show and no dough!

I have nothing of value to bring to this conversation at this time other than this picture:
