I just read the comics a few minutes ago and came across FoxTrot by Bill Amend (I think it is under the auspices of Universal Press Syndicate). Look at the third frame of the comic strip where this guy had a lacrosse stick and was hit on the head by a lacrosse ball.

Bill Amend is really cool. My wife was really into a show called Farscape, which apparently Bill Amend liked too or at least had heard of, and when they tried to cancel the show after a season-ending cliff-hanger, he talked about the effort to save the show in his strip to help the effort get publiciity.
