Granted, baseball is off-limits to most of us laxers and laxfans. However, I am obviously OUT OF THE LOOP when I just learned that Ryan Howard, who plays for the Philadelphia Phillies, already has 56 home runs. He has about 18 or 17 games left, so do you all think he will be in line to eclipse Roger Maris' 61 home runs?

I doubt he would break Barry Bonds' record of 73 homers in a season.

i think it could happen. He's a monster, an absolute hitting machine, like Ortiz, but younger.

ESPN offered a vote as to whether or not people would consider him the home-run record holder if he hit 62. I think it was an overwhelming "yes," but I can't remember...
