I'm moving large groups of files around from old hard drives I had to a new large drive on my desktop - And a few times it has stopped half way through giving me a "path too long" error.

Any idea on how to work around this in Windows XP?

Are you using drag & drop with the old drive as a slave? What is the format of the old drive (FAT, FAT32, NTFS)?

Can you give an example of the path if you are doing this from a DOS window?
