Tennessee quarterback Jim Bob Cooter was suspended indefinitely Monday after campus police arrested him on a drunken-driving charge. Coach Philip Fulmer cited a violation of team rules. He said Cooter will miss the season opener Sept. 2 against California and undergo an alcohol evaluation before he can return. "Jim Bob has let the team down and embarrassed himself and his family by his actions," Fulmer said.

Moron! Moron! Moron! It is not bad enough that you were given that name at birth but then you have to go an reinforce the stereotype, you donkey! Why would you drink and drive much less do so on a campus the size of a postage stamp? Reason #143,568 to fire Phat Fill!
Go Vols! Beat Cal!

E, why are you airing our dirty laundry on this site? I also see that you've jumped on the fire Fulmer bandwagon. You have been gone from the Motherland too long my brother......Turn in your Power T.

Actually, it's a perfect college name. I'm sure the guy is a campus hero just because the word "Cooter" is in his name. I'm sure he has a sandwich at McAllister's named after him.
Unfortunately, when he gets in the real world, things like "Jim Bob Cooter Real Estate" simply will not do.

Big A, my mentor, I have seen the light. I no longer am drinking the Kool-Aid at The Library. We are out of the Top 25. The ship has sailed. Much like Philip did King Johnny, it is time for a little payback. When the best things going at Tennessee are the Lady Vols (which is always a great thing) and the softball teams, we gots problems.
If you told me that my son would have been born in a year when the Vols did not go bowling but the men's basketball team would be ranked in the Top 10 and make the NCAA Tournament, i would have called you a liar. Well, I am the fool.
Fire Fulmer now! As for Ainge, he is a clown too. The last name says it all.

E, I thought you were made of sterner stuff. We have one losing season and your ready to throw all of the good seasons away. Nobody can stay on top forever (ie Penn St., Nebraska, Alabama). All that Fulmer's done for Tennessee and you can't give him the opportunity to right the wrong? Who knew Ainge would implode like he did? I think last season might be good for the Vols in the long run. Sometimes it takes something catastrophic to shake up the program, and open some eyes. Panic is the last thing we should do at this point.

**BENSON FUNKY FACTOID NEEDED***
With regards to funny names, I was watching the Astros last night and the starting pitcher was named Wandy Rodriguez. Since I'm an AL / Texas guy (quit throwing stuff we're better than the Royals), I thought it was a TV typo but then I looked him up on the HOU site and his name is really Wandy Fulton Rodriguez and he Dominican.
So Benson--can you find out if his mother has a hairlip and really tried to name him Randy?

1) His name is really Wandy, no funky factoid needed.
2) The Rangers aren't that bad this year, in first of the really weak AL West, but in first place.

However, Dr. Jim Bob Cooter, OBGYN really sings.
