This being 6-6-06, the purported "last day to live," and I was wondering, what would be the last song you'd want to hear as the world came to an end?

I'd prefer to go out on a positive note. My choice: Satchmo (Louis Armstrong for those not in the know) singing "What a Wonderful World"

Its a toss up between "Where is my mind" by the pixies (its the song at the end of Fight Club) or "Con ti Partiro" by Andrea Boccelli (its one of the most soothing and beautiful songs ive ever heard). Oh, and also, "con ti partiro" means "time to say goodbye" if im not mistaken.

I'll Never Get Out of this World Alive by Hank Williams. On a side note, Norah Jones's side project, The Little Willies, just recorded a version of this song.

Hank's version:

Turn Out The Lights, The Party's Over- Tesla

Or Sweet Home, Alabama by Lynard Skynard. I imagine that is the only song that plays in Hell. Ever.

I have no idea. I didnt watch the Opening Cerimonies and I deffinately didnt watch American Idol. I actually first heard it on South Park. Its from the episode where the boys decide to make their own Cirque Du Soleil and Kenny is relegated to the task of being the singer. He gets a "Boccelli for Dummies" tape and he sings that as the third lesson, following like 2 scales. This episode also introduces the best way to break bad news to someone. "Everyone who has a grandma step forward. Not so fast there girls." It is also heard in I want to say the third season of The Sopranos. They use it quite often that season.

I'm going to go for "Harvest Moon" by Neil Young... I figure that would be good for one last slow dance before the end comes.

But... zero is officially a number... so technically the end of the world would have been 6 years after the death of Jesus and not 2006 years later.
