Couldn't help but laugh out loud about this....

BROCKTON, Mass. -- Brockton High School has banned T-shirts with Sesame Street characters. But these are no regular pictures of Bert and Ernies.

On some, Oscar the Grouch emerges from his garbage can, wielding a 9 mm handgun. On others, Bert and Ernie are standing in a gang posture, armed with automatic weapons.

"We were amazed," said the school's principal, Susan Szachowicz. "You focus on the Sesame Street character. But the more we looked at it, the more we saw the things in it, the guns, the gang stuff."

I can't say I disagree with this decision, although I normally would. I worked at Brockton High for three years and there are a ton of problems. From drugs to gangs to violence... it's out of control. I know this is true at most high schools, but I've worked in a few different ones and Brockton High is far worse than I have ever seen. I don't know what kind of effect, if any, banning the shirts will have, but I think it's worth a try.

This shirt probably stemmed from Chappelle's stand-up. Snuffy as the drug addict, etc...

For the whole thing:
