AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - Bears killed and devoured a monkey in front of horrified visitors at a Dutch zoo, officials and witnesses said Monday.

Had this been on tape and the people that witnessed it been in their living room watching it on tv, this would not be news. The bears and the macaques do not share a natural enviroment in the wild. Put them together in an enclosure and something is bound to happen (BTW, I have been to this park and it is quite nice). I am sure that the incident was horrible and something that I would've been horrified by but then again this is not your typical zoo. It is a wildlife park. Animals from different environments cohabitate.

I guess the bears will be put down now since they have the "taste of blood' and not of course, for being wild animals. Just like the alligators in Florida or the sharks that will attack this summer. Like the joke my dad used to tell me as a kid:
