Flooding situation in New England

Just read that flooding forced a lot of people out of their homes in NH and Massachusetts. Will y'all in New England expect more rain this week?

What do you think of this kind of weather we are having so far in U.S?

While I was napping, my in-laws told me that the creek (it is really some kind of grassy culvert in between homes on separate streets) was becoming a raging creek where the water was rising close to the fence lines in the backyards of those homes. I also learned that our street became flooded. We had severe flash flood warnings. Anyway, we really need that rain in this part of Texas. I am glad that the weather was kind to the USLIA Nationals last week.

The weather is doing okay here in Connecticut. It's not abnormal to get a lot of rain in New England as we get the same weather pattern that likes to move over Tennessee/North Carolina and up through D.C./NYC and in to New England.

A couple of dry springs/summers and people here forget that it's called New England because it's rainy like the U.K.

It has not stopped pouring up here in northern MA/southern NH is the past few days. The rivers have already begun to get to dangerous levels. I have to park a block from my apartment because my street is closed down. Haven't seen it this bad in this area since 1998.

I wonder what this means for summertime? We had such a hot/oppressive summer last year but with all this rain and cool weather, I am interested in how this summer will shape up.

This rain reminds me of October 2005 when it rained for 9 days straight (shudder).

I'm surprised this topic died down. Rain got even worse after my last post... flooding was unbelievable. I live in Haverhill, which is in the Merrimack Valley, the worst hit area. I live about a quarter mile from the Merrimack River and my street was closed for days. I also own a gas station in Andover which was closed for three days due to flooding. Had to close half of the day today and yesterday while environmental techs pumped water out of my lines. Anyways, I took some pictures while I could... some while driving so they may not be the best quality.
