Apparently you have no appreciation for good music! Let's see you go out and accomplish what these talented individuals have! Let's also see you make the kind of money these singers will also!
I would say the predictions are hard to make right now. Everyone is stepping up to the plate and the all bring something different!
Kat McPhee admittedly did not have her best night last night and probably the worst of all 4 performers. If she makes the cut tonight, it will be because she has been a VERY solid performer in the past; especially last week. The fact that she is a gorgeous girl doesn't hurt either. I think with the exception of last night's performance, if Kat sticks around tonight and gets back to her great vocals, she has to be considered the front runner in this competition.
Elliott Yamin has been a very strong performer and has a very good voice! However, I don't see him as the American Idol. His style of music just isn't a style I see a lot of people buying... at this time with the exception of perhaps senior citizens. Plus, with no disrespect intended, he needs braces to fix his teeth. I would have to say his teeth are his biggest deterrent to his becoming a star. Sorry Elliott, but it's true that people will judge you based in part on your appearance. Elliott I believe could have a great future ahead of him if he could get some of the past vocal coaches like David Foster or Tommy Modla to work with him.
Chris Daughtry has a great sound considering I don't really care for hard rock like he sings. He has a good look and a great vibrato as well. Chris no doubt will be very successful as well. He needs to work on being a more well rounded singer (you cant sing loud all the time without throwing in more slow songs) When Chris changes things up and sings a softer, slower song, everyone loves it! Chris also needs to work on not over singing his songs. By his own admission, this has put a strain on his voice. (remember what happened to Kelly Clarkson??)
Taylor Hicks is without a doubt fun to watch. He has a great smile and a lot of personality. However, his voice is only good and not great. Taylor makes up for that short coming tho by being a fun performer to watch. (Remember Garth brooks? Average voice, great songs, and such an incredible performer that he won entertainer of the year more times than I can count) While I like Taylor Hicks, I wonder how long he can keep channeling Joe Cocker and get away with it before people get tired. Sometimes Taylors performances come off as a bad karaoke impersonation of Joe Cocker. I think Taylor has been doing a better job of getting away from this, but if Taylor makes it to the final 2, it will be because he is without a doubt the most flamboyant performer on the show and sticks out for that reason.
Who will be going home tonight?? Well, at this point I think it is really anyones guess who will go home next.
