For soccer lovers

Just read that Arsenal's Highbury Stadium will close after 93 years. The www.fanzone.co.uk has excellent pictures of the football stadiums in the UK. That was the reason to be looking up to see what Highbury Stadium looks like. Just click on "football" to find the pictures of several well known teams' stadiums such as Manchester United (also called Man United), Liverpool, Chelsea, etc.

Of course, I tried to find out the properties of that stadium, but I got a message stating that it is a copyright.

The Irish stadiums are very simple. I have not checked out the Welsh stadiums yet.

No offense to those who do like soccer or to Brent who posted this, but I'm glad to see a topic titled "For soccer lovers" has only 50 views since being posted 9 hours ago. I can not stand soccer.

Out of the 58 folks reading my post, Gregg is the first one to post in this thread. I am not offended, but I know there are a very few of us including jessexy who love and/or enjoy soccer.

The fact I posted is that those folks in England really have built very interesting soccer stadiums. I am talking about their designs. Hey, hopefully, one of us meaning any engineers or architects who love lacrosse very much can come up with cool, snazzy professional lacrosse venues in the near future.

Love it or not, but you cannot deny that it is the predominate sport of the world. That has got to be worth something...

By the way, I like the new USA Soccer commericial that shows clips of them playing in all sorts of horrific countries. I especially enjoy the part when they are sitting in their locker room and the ceiling is shaking because of all the fan noise, then they walk out for the game to see that they are going to play inside a fence with razor wire to keep fans out. Yikes!

Oh yeah, soccer world wide is excellent. The best soccer in the world is played in England. The premier league is a great league to watch. US soccer leaves a lot to be desired.

Before my family moved over seas i used to despise soccer. But whenever I visited them it was the only sport to watch and they had the Manchester United channel and I became addicted. I now regularly check espn's soccernet.com and avidly follow man u. It would probably be between me and jessexy as to who are the biggest soccer fans on this board...

I dont know how you could possibly claim that haha

Man U is chill though, Cristiano Ronaldo is legit, and Rooney is the man.

I'm more of a Liverpool fan though..Gerrard is unstoppable.

I played left defense on my soccer team when I was younger if that counts for anything. And it was an indoor league.

I played soccer for about ten years, until finally there were no leagues that were bad enough for someone of my talent level- so I became a ref through high school and some of my college time.

This is just an example of the saying- Those who can, play. Those who can't... ref. (I don't feel so bad about saying this since I fit the mold for sure). Maybe lacrosse should be next...

If I hadnt made it, then you wouldnt have made yourself known and proven me wrong.
Rooney is the shiz, England had a legitimate chance of winning the World Cup until the Chelski bastards injured him.
