Practice drills/games

Our team was given some pretty sketchy practice fields for this season, to the point where at times a full-on practice could possibly be dangerous to passers-by. Our 'field' is basically a huge yard in the middle of most of our campus' dorms; it is nearly impossible to use the entire thing for ourselves, and quite often stray balls come too close to people walking to or from the cafeteria/class.

To prevent an accident on the days where the quad will be packed (beautiful days such as today,) are there any suggestions for games that can be used for conditioning/agility training that pose less a risk to others? Our old coach had us play a form of 'football' with just sticks helmets and gloves which was pretty fun.

Anyway, input is appreciated. Thanks.

Buy some mini-sticks and play with those. My high school kids play all the time at home and they love it. They're relatively safe.

on our field on one side there is awalking path probably 20feet behind the endline and on the other end is a road about 30 feet behind the endline. luckily we havent hit many walkers, on the other end hitting cars happens... we just play on.....

when my high school had to practice in the middle of our quad (with windows surrounding us on all 4 sides) we played with softer "practice balls" i think they sell them on most of the online stores. might want to check it out

We just hit them with my high school team. If they are going to walk by, it is on them. If you hit them once, they will be more careful the next time.

Hit them to hard and the school administration might come down on you though right?
