Sorry that I had to get Gregg go on a hunt to confirm what I read on TV tonight when Jay Leno commented on the Massachusetts State Lottery's unveiling the Boston Red Sox logo as the first ever to be on the lottery ticket. However, I am sure he will chime in on how the folks in Massachusetts feel about that, etc. I hope the folks in Chelsea still can afford that, don't they, Gregg?

You can read about this story at:

This is going to be a very interesting topic.

Such a horrible idea IMO, why are the Red Sox rushing to make more ca$h with the Mass. Lottery? Don't they sell enough Nomar jerseys? oops, I mean don't they sell enough Jonny Damon jerseys, errrr.... I mean they got a few Babe Ruth jerseys laying around right?

Just another horrible idea from a historically idiotic front office.

I will have to re-read the news story, but I recalled reading somewhere in there that the Red Sox would not get the money from the lottery sales. I also read that the board of directors of MLB approved allowing the logo to be on any instant games.

Black Sox Scandal. Pete Rose. Doesn't MLB enjoy contradictions?
