From 12:20 pm EST to 9:45 pm EST, there will be a dizzying array of 16 games (32 teams) being played today. The 12:20 pm game will probably be the start of the run of the March Madness where Seton Hall will tip off against Wichita State in the Washington, D.C. regional. The last game would probably be the Utah State vs. Washington game also in the Washington, D.C. regional at 9:45 pm.
There was an interesting question posed by someone in the Yahoo! news or sports about the work productivity in the offices, etc. will go down because of March Madness. Would that be a problem for all of us for the next 3 weeks?

I'd like to see a poll of how this message board cuts down on work productivity!

Who would ever know that this vidclip may be the "most talked about?" Matt, thanks for the video clip! I doubt this would have been sent to AFV, wouldn't it?

The quote I heard last night was 13 minutes a day wasted, at a cost of 3.6Billion.... Well, I've wasted 13 minutes today swearing at BC, and I'm sure I'll waste an hour trying to get refocused... A TV in the office was a horrible idea, my attitude & clients will suffer.

BC 88
Pacific 76
Before the BC-Pacific thriller in 2OT, the first two final games were:
Wichita State 86 Seton Hall 66
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee 82 Oklahoma 74
Right now: Big East is 0-1 (Seton Hall)
Big XII is 0-1 (Oklahoma)
ACC is 1-0 (BC)

I wouldn't say the Eagles almost blew it -- I'd say my Alma Mater (Pacific) is a tough, underrated team that played up to its potential. Heart-breaking loss, after almost winning the game in that first overtime. Hats off to the Tigers for another impressive tourney performance and congrats to BC. They deserved to win in the end.

Pacific let me down... I had them knocking out Nevada/Montana in the next round. D'oh!
p.s. If Texas A&M beats Syracuse tonight, drinks are on me (of course, if you live in the Kent, Connecticut metro area).

So far, the second Big East team, Marquette is losing right now. If that is the case, the Big East will be 0-2, so the pressure is on Syracuse to avoid a 0-3 sweep on the first day of the tourney. If it were not a Texas A&M-Syracuse game, I would be rooting for the Orange. However, they are both playing tonight, so I will be rooting for the Aggies because the Orange already have one national title.
SEC is ruling right now with Alabama winning big over Marquette, Florida a little bit ahead of South Alabama, and Tenn and Winthrop are neck to neck.

With Alabama and Marquette are nip-tucking each other, two SEC teams won:
Florida 76 U of South Alabama 50
Tenn 63 Winthrop 61 (I bet KnoxVegas is now having a Major sigh of relief)
