I decided I would take the liberty to start the discussion of this topic here rather than Picks on Point.

I use both IE and Firefox at work, and I noticed that I can use USLIA.com on IE, not Firefox. I have not checked out USLIA.com on Firefox on my home PC, but I will have to do that. With Firefox, I can open up the USLIA.com site, yet it would not allow me to log in. With IE, I can log in and ask it to remember my login.

I do like Firefox because it seems simple and "clean." However, I have to use IE if I were to check out USLIA.com.

It takes me a while to figure out on using saving a website as a shortcut by clicking on the right side of the mouse when using IE. However, with Firefox, I have to learn a new terminology to do that in the same manner.
If I want to do that, I prefer to use IE.

If you have a website that only opens correctly in IE there is an extention that allows you to open it up in IE inside of mozilla. It is called IE tab. I have never had problems with USLIA with FF though Brent. There are some sites that for security concerns are only IE compatable.

I would say the same but the lack of a significant other stops me. All-in-all, im a big nerd.

Nice idea of starting the thread here dan....helps out a lot vs the picks on point....the big issue with ff and modzilla is that they are designed to be a generic browser and not support every site (yet)....in speaking with a couple of development groups...the reasoning is there isnt quite the demand for these browsers just yet, and that is why most Microsoft supported sites and apps require plug ins or special links to open them up in different windows.....to me, its easier to use IE just so I dont have to deal with clicking numerous browsers...but remember we live in a Windows world (which sucks!!!)...we will just have to wait until new apps are developed...wait on new Windows OS...new browswer...cant wait!!

I've used Firefox for a long long time now and i Love it. It's alot cleaner, better with the pop-ups, etc. I haven't had much trouble with pages not opening and i really don't have any of the extensions.

Any way to turn this into a poll? Be interesting to see how many people use each.

I have no problem with this site in Firefox 1.5. I almost never have to use IE to view any site anymore. Firefox is actually W3C compliant, so will only break on sites that use some non-standard feature.

I'd recommend Firefox for the security and the added features like tabbed browsing. Plus, it takes fewer system resources to run.

Don't remember where, but I read that the new version of IE will have tabbed browsing.

Hack...good points on Firefox....but if your like me and have to travel a lot...occasionally oversees...firefox and modzilla dont support some of the sites that I have to use for work..most of your intergrated sites that link to databases and stuff run with IE...though Firefox might be great for home use, just not supported in business world (yet) to the full extent of IE...I will have to mess around with it a bit more though to really see.......
