Starts tomorrow if I'm not mistaken. I would have posted in the Water Cooler, but I think people from other regions could really care less.
Games Wed (A):
Mankato East v. Little Falls
Duluth Marshall v. Blake
St. Thomas Academy v. Orono
Hermantown v. Theif River Falls
Games Thrus (AA):
Lakeville N. v. Blaine
Cretin-Durham v. Eagan
Hill-Murray v. Minnetonka
Grand Rapids v. Roseau
I'll take St. Thomas Academy in A, and Blaine in AA for the sake of argument. Please chime in with any thoughts, predictions, fun facts, hopes and or fears.

What ever happened to Anoka? I move to the town and they immediately stink at hockey... (sigh).
Small schools are in this year- Hill-Murray, Cretin, Roseau, Grand Rapids. Minnetonka, Lakeville and Eagan aren't traditionally state tournament teams either, which makes their presence odd... what a weird bracket in AA this year...

My picks in bold...I'll even out stretch this to a full bracket pick in A and AA...Gotta love tourney time... BTW Grand Rapids is traditionally a tourney team just not in recent years but they rank right towards the top for tournament appearances...

I know that Grand Rapids and Roseau have a lot of history, but since the AA/A split and the emergence of mega schools (EP, Anoka, Edina, Elk River, Wayzata, Bloomington Jefferson) we have not seen many appearances by the smaller north schools playing in AA.
I think it's great to have them back. Put a little history back into the event.
Where is Warroad this year?

I think the bracket in AA is so bad this year. Jefferson, AHA, and Moorehead all at home? Ridiculous. Hill will win it easy...My question is when in the same hell will they move lakeville out of the worst section in hockey, 1AA? And CDH in the tourney, what a joke. They need a realignment bad. The private schools should all be in AA as well, A is not even remotely good hockey. My intramural team here could probably win the A title...
