Monday Night Football will have a new broadcast team when it debuts on ESPN in 2006.

Mike Tirico, Joe Theismann and Tony Kornheiser will be part of a three-man booth calling the games on Monday nights next season and Suzy Kolber and Michelle Tafoya will be sideline reporters. Kolber and Tafoya both reported from the sidelines for ABC during Super Bowl XL.

Sounds like a recipe for failure if you ask me. Thiesman is the reason i don't watch sunday night games now. Tony Kornheiser annoys me enough on PTI, Tirico i could care less about, just another play by play man. I will watch, but only when the cowboys are on.

If they were smart they would have moved Michael Irvin or Steve Young into the booth.

As Hank say's
"Micheal Irvin knows the game like the suits he be wearing."

I am not sure Irvin would be worth watching since he always talks about the U and his past glory.

Young would be a better fit but I am sure he is happy with his studio job like Irvin.

I'm not a Theismann fan; but I may be a minority because I REALLY like Kornheiser, he's got real spunk. I am not sure Irvin would be any better than Dennis Miller, but I hear Leon Lett is up for parole this year, keep your fingers crossed and he might find a way to the booth so long as soon as his ankle bracelet is removed.

I personally am looking forward to 3 1/2 hours of TK jokes on Mondays now! Goodnight Canada!

If TK maintains his non-jock sniffing attitude, It will be a nice change. If the NFL turns him, then it will be close to unwatchable (unlistenable?).

I look forward to TK and Theiseman coming to blows over Joe's continued worship of qb's and his inconsistency over time.

I love Kornheiser...should be a good time. Also, if you're looking for a funny/fast read I'd highly recommend "I'm back for more Cash" by TK. Great read!

Mr. Tony will be great! He is Joe Fan. TK Stack-Money will bring an airiness to the booth that Miller could only try to.

Just as long as Madden isn't in the booth all is well. Seems as if Monday night football has run its course with the tv execs, before the public turned the channel. The ratings are still high. They are down a little, but Monday night football is still a top rated show.

The ripping on TK on PTI tonight was hysterical... I'm totally looking forward to next August!

Let's be honest with ourselves. TK, as knowledgeable as he is, looks like a man who's never strapped on pads.

That's what you want representing MNF??

Joe Buck. Dennis Miller (although we don't need to mention how many seasons he was with MNF)

Plus, TK openly admits he was an English major... Part of the comedy!

well considering theiseman has strapped on pads and is one of the worst annoucers ever, im willing to give tk a shot. i dont care if youve played, i care if you know what your talking about. should be interesting. although think putting theiseman on is a huge mistake. seems like the execs are the only people in the world that dont know how terrible he is.

Ahh! Not part of the comedy!!

Theismann is a joke of an analyst; Tirico is no Al Michaels; TK looks as though the football boys stole his lunch money everyday.

Monday Night Football is pretty much what gets me through the fall. I feel betrayed by this mularkey!!

I think Frank Caliendo should be on there impersonating Madden.

You seen this guy?
