I'll just take a stab at this question by saying The Purple Eaters with the Minnesota Vikings or The Steel Curtain with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Of course, the question requires naming the four guys.

Gary Larsen, Allan Page, Jim Marshall, and Carl Eller were the four Vikings

If I remember correctly, they were the d-line for the rams. Deacon Jones and Merlin Olsen were two of them, I don't know the others. They were the two with tv careers, merlin with Little house, and Deacon jones with G vs E, a very shortlived albiet underrated show. Didn't Fred Dryer play for that team as well?

The Fearsome Foursome were with the Rams and Deacon Jones & Merlin Olsen were 2 of the members. The other 2 were Lamar Lundy & Roosevelt Grier.

It is Georgetown.

South Dakota would be my answer to the next question.

GREAT question Hogan. I assume that 1-AA football doesn't count for D1 in your question?

CORRECT. Lamar Lundy is the only one to not have a tv career, either in sports or dramtic acting. Fred Dryer played for the Rams of the late 1970s with Jack Youngblood and Jack "Hacksaw" Reynolds.

How did Reynolds get the name "Hacksaw?"

Don't take trivia from amateurs like Hogan! (Danny, did I pass your Raider allegience question in a previous thread?) My questions are never vague and there usually is a theme. You get three to four a day. No, I do not have a trivia book. As Danny and most of all Sonny can attest, I do this for a living, in a round about way.
