What was the last bowl game that Notre Dame won (opponent and year)?
No googling allowed or you are just cheating yourself.

I got 1993 Cotton Bowl but I cannot remember who they played. 12 years of futility, including a year where they declined an invitation to the then Pulan Independence Bowl because, ahem, their play that season didn't warrant a bowl game appearance that year.
More like they didn't wnat to get beat by the likes of a then inept, wait they still are, VPI squad.

I still remember the day that my wife and I got engaged was on January 1, 1986 because that was when Texas A&M defeated Auburn at the Cotton Bowl.

Texas A&M winning a bowl game was why you remember the day? Make sure your wife doesn't read uslia.com.

Yup, that is the reason it helps me REMEMBER that day. Nah, I have no worries because my wife does not give a hoot about uslia.com.
She would simply roll her eyes when I share some uslia news with her.
Although my wife is a Long Island girl, she prefers to watch ice skating, gymnastics to lacrosse.

Seeing things from her perspective (aka the woman's POV) I'm sure she's just happy you get the day right!!!

A&M has never won a bowl game that I've attended.
1992 - Cotton Bowl loss to ND
1993 - Cotton Bowl loss to ND
1997 - Cotton Bowl loss to UCLA
1998 - Sugar Bowl loss to Ohio St. (BCS)
1999 - Alamo Bowl loss to Penn St.
2000 - Independence Bowl loss to Miss. St. (didn't actually attend but had tickets and a snow storm in dallas kept me home)
So from now on I am staying away from A&M bowl games.
Interesting side note that I found out yesterday in another forum. Texas A&M's First win in football was against Galveston Ball HIGH SCHOOL in 1894.

To back up tamu33's assertion, I found another site which interestingly came from another source- University of Kansas' website:
http://www.kusports.com/football/foes/2002/tam.html
Ali, you would be surprised to read that Houston High defeated A&M, 10-0 in 1897.

I believe I was at that game. It was an ice bowl and we froze our butts off. My family and I had like 10 of those hand warmers things in our shoes to warm our feet up.
I believe this is also the game where Greg Hill was suspended for working some illegal job or something along those lines.

My wife and I got married 12/31/04. We awoke the next morning, just in time to watch America's Team (when they played in bowl games) defeat Texas A&M in the Fraud, er Cotton Bowl on 1/1/05.
I knew it was time to ask her to marry me back in '03 when she sent me a SMS that read "Does being a Tennessee fan mean I have to get used to the losing?"

At the Cotton Bowl that same year (1994) is when I saw my first glimpse of european women and by that I mean at the World Cup game where a german woman was wearing a bikini top and didn't shave her underarms..... STILL GROSSED OUT.
GERMANY over S. KOREA will live forever in my mind for the wrong reasons.
