Mets Moves

Postby James Foote on Tue Nov 29, 2005 2:00 pm

NEW YORK -- Billy Wagner became the latest star to join the New York Mets, reaching a preliminary agreement Monday on a $43 million, four-year contract only hours after first baseman Carlos Delgado was introduced at a Shea Stadium news conference.

It's good to see a good 'ol boy from Virginia making the big bucks. Wagner was a college friend of my brother's back at Ferrum College.

I was worried that one of my fantasy baseball studs would go to a crummy team but with all of the offseason moves... the mets are in pretty good shape. Come'on BILLY.

Beltran is a stiff. If they get Manny, then it might as well be 1992 all over again.

There is actual people that like the Mets?!

When I was little (10-12), I used to like the Mets because they had one of my favorite players growing up....Gregg Jefferies...I have no clue why either.
