Just testing the waters...

What do you think of the possibility of a Aquaman TV series in the near future or far future?

WARNING- Below may contain spoilers:

I saw Aquaman (Alan Ritchson, a former American Idol contestant; I also read that he is from Niceville, Florida) meeting Clark Kent (we know he will become Superman played by Tom Welling).

Interview with Alan Ritchson from the Kryptonsite.com:

Lois Lane (Erica Durance) was witty when she told Aquaman that he did not have any fashion sense when he was wearing an orange tank shirt with dark green swimsuit. Guess Lois had not been reading Marvel Comics that Aquaman did wear those colors. Actually, the ever-super sleuth Chloe (played by Allison Mack) discovered that Arthur (known as A.C) playing Aquaman was attending the University of Miami with a pursuit of studying marine biology.

It was a well-written episode last night, and I find it intriguing that they introduced Aquaman in this episode. From what I have read from Kypronite news on the Internet, Tom Welling announced to a group of critics that they would introduce this character to sounds of snickering and giggles. It sounded like there were no successful Aquaman TV series or movies.

Looking forward to and hoping for a successful 5th season of Smallville.

TV series? Try movie. Haven't you been watching the reality series Entourage on HBO? :D

:D Since you asked, I don't have HBO at home, so I really can not follow Entourage.

Aquaman gets no respect as a superhero because he really doesn't have any good super powers.

Superhuman Powers:

Ability to communicate directly with sea life
Ability to sense the primal emotions of aquatic creatures through "The Clear"
Heavy-Duty telepathy allows him to control any aquatic creatures
Sonar power which allows him to detect things when blinded
Can swim underwater at rates up to 100 mph
Can withstand extremes of temperature and pressure

I'm sorry, but those are pretty lame. One cool thing is that he has a hook/harpoon for his left hand, but it's just not enough to get him some respect. I liked Aquaman when I was 6, but now I see why he's subject to all the ridicule he gets.

Aquaman needs to go to Jenny Craig.

Vince Chase makes a much better Aquaman in my opinion. And by the way who watches Smallville?
