What did you guys think?

My thoughts:

SEC is tougher this year than most...BAMA is underrated

Notre Dame is not invincible

I had fun in a rain soaked NSU 54-0 victory. Sat in the student section and had a good time watching some of my players and former players cheer from the sides.

Best quote of the day goes to Tim Clements (former NSU lax player and St Bernard resident...his parent’s house was flooded to the 2nd floor). After Virgil was boasting about his all-American status (2 years ago), Tim says: "Virgil, how can you be all-American if you are from Nicaragua. Shouldn't you be all-South American?"

If my years at A&M didn't teach me this, then I learned first hand on Saturday night from the Sam Houston State sidelines that Texas Tech has the most dangerous offense in the country...................long trip back that was, but we got our PAYDAY!

Baylor, Indiana, and Vandy are all 3-0. Amazing.

That's right...I quoted myself. Did anyone watch that game? At least Nebraska's defense is playing well and bailing them out. I'm very, very happy that the record is 3-0, but I don't know how long that'll last. I hate to say it, but even having next week off won't be enough time for Nebraska to overcome their ineptitude on offense, and they will lose to Iowa State. I really hate it when Iowa State beats them because then all of the closet ISU fans come out start bragging like jerks about how great their team is.

I am feeling the same thing I feel every year as a spartan fan...

The elation right before the heart crushing 1-6 finish to the season.

As always, I'm hoping for 3+ undefeated teams to mess up the BCS...USC, Texas, LSU, Louisville, Va Tech, Purdue...There could be a handful this year

I agree that Baylor's 3-0 start is quite amazing, yet I will be keeping a wary eye on their game against Texas A&M in College Station on October 1. That is going to be a great battle of the Brazos Bottom cousins. Kyle Field is going to be packed that day, ahem, in the morning around 11:30 am (TV purposes). By the way, Texas A&M and Texas State will square off this weekend while Baylor has a bye weekend.

i think LSU loses this weekend to tennessee, Louisville loses @ West Virginia, purdue loses at least 2 big 10 games. VT might have a shot at going undefeated. Bama represents the SEC West in the SEC title game.

the big east doesn't deserve a bcs bid.

those are all kinda brash, but i'll just edit my post when they end up being wrong.

We're kind like Gravity--an implacable force you can't do without! :D :D

BTW, has there ever been a year when there wasn't a Big Ten team in the Bowl series??

A joke on Week 2 when all three Big 10 (in the Top 10) lost.

I love Purdue this year...they get ND and Iowa at home. Only tough road game is in Madison, WI. Great schedule...no Michigan, no Ohio State. This week is huge...if they can beat Minnesota and stop their ground game, they have a great shot at going undefeated.

BYU is not very good.

One of indiana's wins was over Division I-AA Nicholls State, whom they beat by a whopping FOUR points. The fact that Indiana has won any games at all is amazing in itself.

You could've knocked me over with a feather when Western Mich won their home opener this weekend. They were actually on the waiting list for ESPN's Bottom 10 last week!! Go Broncos??!!
