Whatever happened to...

For some reasons, the name, Shawn Jones kept popping up in my head as I know he quarterbacked Georgia Tech to the national championships several years ago. Did I get that right, Sonny?
I am just wondering what ever happened to him, for I have not seen his name in the headlines for several years.
What would be your "Whatever happened to..." in regards to athletes?
I guess I'm bringing this up because the message board is still a little bit quiet; HOWEVER, the USL MDIA board will quickly pick up in a few days with all the fellow laxers (returning and new) will return to colleges and universities.

Shawn Jones was the QB on the 1990 co-National Champion team (with Colorado). He was inducted into the GT Hall of Fame in 2003.
Toretta won in 1991 and now works as a football analyst for TV.

Toretta was drafted by the Vikings in a later round. He was seen in the bars around Minneapolis more than on the field.

Ok, I hear he is still semi active in the NBA. What ever happened to Christian Laitner. Is it strange to anyone else that he was on the Dream Team and has proceeded to do nothing in the pros? IMHO it wouldnt have been a terrible idea to hang it up after the buzzer beater.

He has bounced all over the NBA as a role player. He has played for Minnesota, Atlanta, Detroit, Washington, Dallas, and now Miami.
Although my favorite was his backup at Duke who was suppose to be the next "hot thing", Cherokee Parks. He is also in the NBA and is all tattooed up which is kind of funny from a nice little boy from Duke.

Overrated NBA player with bad tatoos. He won't make any magazines soon. If I was descendent of the Cherokee Nation I would sue him for defamation after some of his atrocities on basketball floor combined with those terrible looking tatoos.
The Dallas Morning News has done a Whatever Happened to? segment. It has been pretty good.

Couldn't you really put anyone that played at Duke in the, "whatever happended to" category? That may change with some of the younger guys (Deng, Duhon...) But for such a great college program, they've produced surprisingly few good NBA players (Hill, Banks, Giminski).
And yes, I'm a Carolina fan.

His deal with the devil expired. He runs a real estate company in Knox Vegas with his brother. I doubt he ever felt guilty cashing those NFL checks at all.

This really isn't a sports "whatever happened to", but for some reason I got thinking about this. Whatever happened to that kid who was in the "Problem Child" movies? His name is Michael Oliver, and imdb.com doesn't have any listings for him since 1995.

The avatar that Jay Wisnieski has right now is a picture of Steve Carrel of the new movie, "The 40 Year Old Virgin". Last night on the ET show, he was telling the reporter that his "ego was deflated" when his 4 year old daughter looked at the poster of him and exclaimed, "Daddy, you look stupid."
Sorry for being off tangent on this thread.
