Just read about "icon anniversaries":

100 years ago: Windshield Wipers

75 years ago: The Nancy Drew Series

50 years ago: Disneyland

40 years ago: Slurpee

25 years ago: Post-It Notes; Pac-Man

20 years ago: Teddy Ruxpin (the teddy bear would say "Can you be my friend?)

10 years ago: eBay.com
The national USLIA tourney (threw that in myself)

5 years ago: "Dance Dance Revolution"- the Japanese arcade game where you would be challenged to sychronize your steps on a platform with dance patterns that flash on the video game screen.

Very interesting trivial questions

I saw this from a "flip-over" desktop calendar where the questions were:

Q:What major league pitching ace gave all his children names beginning with the letter "K"- the scorekeeping symbol for a strikeout?

A: Roger Clemens whose four sons are named Kody, Koby, Kory and Kacy.

Q: What was cotton candy called when it was introduced at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair?

A: Fairy Floss.
