Here's the list of the major nominees, and here's a rant about why it's not good:
Why did Will and Grace get 15 nominations? That show (in my opinion) is not, never was, and never will be funny! All they do is rely on guest mega-stars to trick people into watching that garbage. Also, you can't seriously think that Desperate Housewives also deserves 15 nominations, including 3 people for lead actress in a comedy? A COMEDY? That show is hardly a comedy. Speaking of the lead actress in a comedy award, why does Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle) get nominated? That show stopped being funny years ago, and she's not that good of an actress! Why did Two and a half men get 2 actresses nominated for supporting actress in a comedy when Arrested Development only got one? Why doesn't anything from the WB get nominated? How do Showtime and HBO get nominations but the WB can't? I understand there might not be a large Gilmore Girls audience on these boards, but Gilmore Girls is actually quality television that won't ever get nominated just because their show isn't on a major network! Lil Lady lax fan, YESIMAGIRL, could either of you possibly comment of the wonderfullness of the Gilmore Girls? (Not that you watch the show, I'm just wondering if you do)
Now, there are some good things about this list. Scrubs and Arrested Development being nominated for best comedy is great, along with the individual nominations that came from these shows. I can live with William Shatner getting a nomination. The Daily Show and Jon Stewart both getting nominated is a good thing. Also, the animated shows that got nominated are all quality. (Family Guy, Samurai Jack, The Simpsons, South Park, and Spongebob Squarepants).
Now, what does everyone else think?
