With all the Coldplay talk lately, I've been in a music sort of mood...

What's currently in your CD players?

6-CD changer in the car...
1. Pearl Jam - rearviewmirror greatest hits, disc 2
2. U2 - How to dismantle...
3. Candlebox - Candlebox
4. Ryan Adams - Gold
5. Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
6. Bob the Builder - Bob the Builder (compliments of my son)

Do people even carry CDs anymore with the ability to have your entire music collection on your iPod playing through your car's tuner?

P.S. liked your Miles selection. . .classic. You should try his Tribute To Jack Johnson, groundbreaking stuff at the time it came out.

With over 6K songs on my computer and about 2K on my Ipod, songs/bands/albums I am listening to right now:

Black Eyed Peas - Monkey Business
-Not as good as old albums but enjoyable.

Finch - Say Hello To Sunshine
-Also not as good as their old stuff but still pretty good.

My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge
-Real good album.

The Dan Band - The Dan Band Live
-Hiliarous band who do covers of 80s-90s songs done by chicks. Also known as the wedding band from Old School.

Random Songs:
Fall Out Boy - XO
Foo Fighters - Best of You
I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody's Business - The Best Happiness Money Can Buy
Relient K - I So Hate Consequences
Straylight Run - Existentialism On Prom Night
The Academy Is... - Slow Down

That's what my husband is getting for father's day--an iPod.

If it's any consolation we still have our collection of vinyl records...that we play on occasion...for old times sake (that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)

As for my CD player--last five CDs were:
Frou Frou Details
REM Out of Time
Dandy Warhols Welcome to the Monkey House (Great Alternative Band BTW)
Afro Celt Sound System Seed
Peter Gabriel Us

The Whitlams. A Sydney band that is amazing and also Powderfinger. Since I have converted all my CDs to MP3s, I have a lot of coasters lying around. Anyone need any?

So suppose I join the rest of you in the mp3 generation...what's the best source to download music?

i use limewire, but make sure you disable the "sharing" option. i think that's what gets people in trouble, once they get the music, they allow others to get it from them

If you think "For Under The Cork Tree" is good, I recommend their old CD "Take This To Your Grave". I know many fans who perfer this over the new one but the new one is still really good.
