Benson's Tip of the Day

Don't go to Supercuts where the people cutting your hair are late 40s, early 50s Venezuelan women who speak little english.

I got a haircut earlier today and I think this has to be the worst job I have ever received and I even let one of my roommates attempt to cut my hair a couple times during college, one time he was slightly drunk and still did a better job. Granted I did go to Supercuts so I shouldn't expect anything spectactular but I have gone to this one about 8 times or so since moving into my apartment across the street and have not had a problem before.

I have such easy hair to cut. I usually ask for a 1 and 1/2 on the sides with about finger length cut above and I got the most un-even hair all over. On top and on the sides. Looks like I am putting on a hat for a while until my hair grows out a bit.

I was astonished to find out that one of my co-workers pays $30 for a haircut! In my 22 years, I have NEVER paid more than $11 dollars for a hair cut. I sincerely hope that he is alone in paying that much.

I have even found a place here in Baton Rouge that will cut hair for $10, wash it, dry it, and then give a 15 minute back massage. Its a bunch of Vietnamese women that got out during the evacuation of Saigon....and MAN DO THEY LOVE TO TALK ABOUT IT! Suffice if to say that they are extremely popular amongst my friends.

My buddy calls that place "super-sluts" and doesn't go there. You should learn to cut your own hair. I've been doing it since I was in grade school (about 12 years now). Best Christmas present I ever received was from my mom--it was a set of clippers and hair cutting supplies.

I agree...

I pay $20 CDN to have a beautiful girl cut my hair. More than worth the money.

So that's like 83.67 in US dollars if my exchange rate calculator in my head is correct.

Not going to get any. It is not as bad as I made it out to be yesterday right after it happened. Like if you bumped into me on the street and we talked for like 2 minutes, you might slightly notice. I am guessing someone I work with might notice it since I will be with them all day. I am sure after a couple days my hair which freakishly grows out will and it will be fine.

I am like FormerTiger in that I don't want or really need to pay 30 bucks for a haircut. I had a great place at Iowa where someone cut my hair for like 12 bucks and it was always nice. Just need to find a new place to get it chopped for cheap.

definitely makes it worth it when a beatiful girl is cutting your hair.........I don't mind not having to initiate meaningless conversations when I have someone good to look at for the 10-15 minutes that I'm in the chair....Yesterday I had this lady who must have come straight outta the double wide......No teeth....Marlboros in the drawer.... and she looked like she was in her late 40's.....to her credit she did cut some good hair, but she was no looker.....

What are the odds....speaking of hair cutting, check out this article. For the first time, I am ashamed of the things that go on in my hometown, although this is freaking hilarious.

Were you alone at that time watching the SuperCuts ad? I can imagine your kids looking at you in askance when you burst out laughing.
