In an even stranger tale, two professors of art both of which are successful artists retired from UCLA. After the school refused to dismiss a student who may have used a real gun in a performance art piece. Ironically, one professor Chris Burden, a performance artist, is famous for his piece "Shoot," in which an assistant shot him in the arm with a .22 caliber rifle back in '71.
