I saw this video like 4 days ago and I just found out Scott Van Pelt made a reference to it last night on Sportscenter by using the kid's "Boom goes the dynamite". That just made my day.

This kid is so bad it's brutal, like watching a train wreck.

Scott Van Pelt is the man, he has also worked "Donkey Punch" into a highlight before.

I like the reference to "Hakkum Warrick" and how Chris Paul "rebounded out the list."

I love it when sportscasters work dirty references into the show. My personal favourite is Don Taylor, a guy up in Canada who also does NLL play-by-play sometimes, was showing NBA highlights when Yao Ming got a big scratch on his back. Taylor said that the scratch "brings Yao to #2 on the NBA all-time back scratch list behind Shawn Kemp.... think about it".

does he whisper "i'm so sorry" during the broadcast?

I've taken poops more eloquent than that man. Personally I think the best is during the pacers game when he pauses for a while, then throws out that "Reggie Miller is looking good." This is of course while Jason Kidd is shooting.

This has been a hit around the office all day. Poor guy. They certainly didn't try to save him either.

I am also a big fan of when the regular anchors say thanks to him at the end and he says "yes" in napolen dynamite-like way.

Yeah, that's just one of many mistakes this kid did.

And boom goes the dynamite......

Absolutely unbelievable. I thought the schmucks at Newschannel 5 here were terrible. Unfortunately, they've got nothing on that poor guy. It was really hard to watch. I felt like gouging my eyes out with a rusty grapefruit spoon.
