I recently read the book so many of you were debating last year. I enjoyed it tremendously, and went looking for more books on the subject. What I ran across was a non-fiction book, "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" Baigent, Leigh, and Lincoln: Delacort 1982. This book, the product of apparently exausting research, basically supports the historical claims and theories outlined in "The Da Vinci Code." I recommend it.

I haven't read it yet, Hugh, but my girlfriend also highly recommends Angels and Demons by the same author. She said she enjoyed it more than Da Vinci.

TIVo'd a great show the other day on History channel. It was a 2 hour long show called Beyond the Da Vinci Code. It pokes holes in much of the books "facts" and shows some huge leaps of faith that were taken. They even interviewed one of the authors of "Holy Blood, Holy Grail". Along with the holes and the leaps they did show some major evidence that Sara actually might be real! It should replay on the History channel again.

I tried reading Holy Blood, Holy Grail after I finished TDC, but found it a very hard read, but I did learn a lot about it.

I always try and stay out of conversations like this, but the show on the History channel was very interesting. I love to see both sides laid out well.
