I got this tested in the Test section, so I am going to let you see the picture and judge for yourselves:

1. How are they going to store that "thing"??

2. Smaller pads not bigger nets!

I agree with Aaron, make the pads smaller and then see what happens. I think that hockey needs to think about getting a season before changing the rules though.

Also, go to olympic sized ice to take advantage of speed over clutching and size.

Or just fire all the coaches that run a defensive trap defense!

Offensive minded coaches lead to more high scoring games.

But I do agree, smaller pads and a bigger rink...not necessarily olympic sized rinks because not too many pro arenas can handle to put a bigger rink in and spare to loose the extra seats it would take up I also say take away two line passing rule...that definetly opens up the ice!

I don't think that the net should be mad any bigger. My problem with the nhl is that there are too many games for me to care. I know the games might be low scoring but if you've ever been to a game there always really fun. I think if they shortened the season to say 20 games and tried playing most of their games on the weekends then more and more people would follow the sport. Take football (while it is more fun to watch in my opinion) for example, college teams play 10-13 games in a season... each one means a ton to what bowl they go to or pro teams that play 16 games... each one holding a lot of weight. If hockey were to be played on days like friday through sunday (people would find time to watch) and more people would therefore get more involved as a fan.

I know the big hockey fans love having so many games but its not good for the popularity of the sport. I think it takes away from the game too. I know that the NFL was thinking about adding a 17th game... i think its a aweful idea (despite the fact that football season is the greatest thing ever and i wouldn't mind watching more of it) but its takes away from the value of a win if you have to many games (one reason Baseball sucks).
