I"m really excited about 2013 for the MCLA and i think the re-birth of this discussion board heralds great things.

Re: THANK YOU TO LAXXtv
Agreed, Coach Graff! When I got the e-mail I wasn't sure what LAXXtv was, then I saw the familiar CollegeLax logo and smiled.
Is Sonny involved in this resurrection?
The MCLA in my immediate area has changed, with Hope and Calvin moving to varsity. Much deserved plaudits to Coach Mike Schanhals, who will do well in his new position. GVSU is loading up, Coach Tim Murray as developed a very good pipeline.
I heard that Davenport may be making a move to varsity?
With Maryland and Rutgers joining the Big Ten, MSU would love to join their Wolverine brothers in the varsity ranks.
Speaking of MSU, there is yet another example of one of the major weaknesses of the MCLA, that the coach doesn't really control the team, that if he tries to instill a semblance of discipline many times the players will rebel. Coach Dwayne Hicks is a great coach, tremendous knowledge of the game, but he expected too much of the team, thinking they might wnt to compete on the national scene. I wish him the best.
Anyway, nice to see the site back up!

Re: THANK YOU TO LAXXtv
Sonny is not on board with LaxxTV - twins, his regular job and reffing are keeping him pretty busy, so Panchito is taking over a lot of the duties, and I'm helping out whenever possible. We definitely hope to see Sonny around here though if he needs a break during work.
There are definitely a lot more sites taking an interest in the MCLA - it's nice to see so many blogs reporting on virtually every little thing in the league, it only helps it grow and gain exposure.
I also don't see a slow down in small colleges in the southeast, midwest & west coast adding varsity teams in the next 5-10 years, so it will be interesting to see how D2 shapes up in the end.

I feel like there were forums for each conference before the site got closed down. Any plan to bring that back?

They've been merged into the D1 or D2 forums for now (still moving older D2 into the D2 forum). Here's info on it:
