Sinbad: 1, Hillary: 0

It seems that Hillary and Sinbad have different recollections of their trip to the Balkans. She reports it as a harrowing experience with sniper fire whizzing around her. He remembers the toughest part of the trip was where to eat.

Best Quote from Sinbad:

"What kind of president would say 'Hey man, I can't go 'cause I might get shot so I'm going to send my wife. Oh, and take a guitar player and a comedian with you."

This received 4 Pinocchio’s in yesterdays Washington Post. There were security concerns, but just a tad exaggerated according to those outside of the Hilliary camp.

Her military experience might be as extensive than GWB's though.

Saw that earlier. Just hysterical. Her campaign is claiming that she misspoke. More like she missremembered, eh Roger?

Isn't the real question, what was Slick Willy doing while the cat was in Bosnia?

Must fight partisan... urges... strength is weak...

We has logs that tell us where Clinton was on those days (snicker to yourself about Lewinsky) but we don't have any evidence where GWB was when he took leave while "serving" in the Texas National Guard to work on some campaigns. Plus Clinton had been to that base in Bosnia two months before Hillary went.

And before any of you say well at least he "served" where Clinton didn't, I give you draft-avoider Dick Cheney's response when asked why he did not serve in Vietnam:

Cheney's unself-consciousness about this is (or at least was) so pronounced that in 1989 he told George C. Wilson of the Washington Post, "I had other priorities in the '60s than military service."

Oh, Hillary. Why you got to undermine the left so bad?

Has anyone heard the rumor that Hillary knows she won't get the nomination, but she's drawing out the primary process so McCain can snag the presidency, and then she can take it in '12 because Obama will be seen as a huge failure?

I mean, this might just be whispers on the blog-o-tubes, but nothing warms me quite like a good conspiracy theory.

Ummm Cheney wasn't drafted because he was finishing college and was married with a child (Which makes one exempt from selective service). Are those not legitimate priorities?

From the previously posted article:

Dedicated students of obstetrics will observe that Elizabeth Cheney's birth date falls precisely nine months and two days after the Selective Service publicly revoked its policy of not drafting childless husbands. This would seem to indicate that the Cheneys, though doubtless planning to have children sometime, were seized with an untamable passion the moment Dick Cheney became vulnerable to the Vietnam draft. And acted on it. Carpe diem!

I guess it is the combo of finishing school and having a child that works for the right. Clinton was finishing school (as a Rhodes Scholar) but was hammered during the '92 & '96 elections for not serving in the military. Cheney sure has put those other priorities to great work during this war though.

My own father served 2 stints in Viet Nam. He felt passionately that th exemptions for college, marriage and kids meant that America's poorest ended up giving up their lives, while the priveleged did not have to face the horrors of war.

However you may feel about our reasons for the current Gulf War II, from a tactical point of view, it's crazy that we are currently fighting a 2 front war without a draft, enough boots on the ground, or war tax. Actually we have a draft - it's called stop-loss, but it only affects the 1.5% of American families who have a son or daughter who is subject to it. If the other 98.5% of American families knew their children ages 18-28 were subject to serve, then we would all share the burden. I suggest reading the words of the fallen:
