Daylight Savings Time

So....Daylight Savings time starts this weekend after Congress snuck a bill through last year making Daylight Savings time 3 weeks longer for the year (2 weeks earlier in Spring, 1 later in Fall).
Curious what people think about this. Studies have shown that while energy rates may be beneficial in March and April, all subsequent months demonstrate an increase in energy usage due to cooling patterns with air conditioners. The original argument was that with more sunlight you use less lightbulb energy, but naturally with more sunlight you get more heat, thus why Arizona ignores this caveman method of saving power.
