Accurately huh?

I really love it when people blame other people (or distantly past events) for their problems. Sweet, can I start doing that? Because taking responsibility for my own problems is overrated, when I can just blame something else that physically had nothing to do with them.

So a culture is promoting hate and the hated is to blame? Cool.

Yeah, never mind the whole "The Jews killed Christ" thing that say, more than say, I don't know...a few Christians still maintain. Remember it took the Vatican until Vatican II in 1965 to renounce this belief.

Been trying not to post here since I'm not sure I can back up most of my feelings, but I figure I can chime in now. First, I'm ot really a big fan of the term "the muslim world" since it creates more space between the west, and parts of the world where many muslims live.

Unfortunately, people today equate Middle East=Islamic State, which is not the case. For the most part, the nations in the middle east not named Iran, Pakistan, or Afghanistan are fairly safe places. Also, if it really were the west holding down Islam, wouldn't we be hearing much more from Indonesia, the country with the largest percentage of Muslims, or other places in Northern Africa?

I personally do not subscribe to the fact that Islam=government, simply because it is not true for most countries. Our current conflicts, with the exception of Iran, have more to do with clash of cultures than with clash of religions.

I hate to reduce the discourse to scat references, but 'fececiously' should be in Webster's. Right next to a picture of John Edwards.

Love the Vatican II mention. The most powerful Christian in the world is the only friend of the Jewish state and some people are still swallowing op-ed columns about "The Passion."

Damn you, drunk Mel Gibson.

Jesus and The Virgin Mary in Islam

Many people may be surprised that Muslims love Mary, the mother of Jesus. In the Quran, no woman is given more attention than Mary. Mary receives the most attention of any woman mentioned in the Quran even though all the Prophets with the exception of Adam had mothers. Of the Quran's 114 chapters, she is among the eight people who have a chapter named after them. The nineteenth chapter of the Quran is named after her, Mariam. Mariam means Mary in Arabic. The third chapter in the Quran is named after her father, Imran. Chapters Mariam and Imran are among the most beautiful chapters in the Quran. Mary (peace be upon her) is the only woman specifically named in the Quran. An authentic Haddith states that the Prophet said, "The superiority of 'Aisha to other ladies is like the superiority of Tharid (i.e. meat and bread dish) to other meals. Many men reached the level of perfection, but no woman reached such a level except Mary, the daughter of Imran and Asia, the wife of Pharaoh." (Bukhari 4.643). Indeed, both Mary and Pharoah's wife are an example (Quran 66:11-12). The Virgin Mary plays a very significant role in Islam. She is an example and a sign for all people.

I was absolutely blown away that in the Sunday paper the Parade mag still had a Bhutto interview, dated the 6th and without anything related to here death. Un-f'ing believable!!! It was written and presented just like she was still in the race. I understand the printing rotations, but come on!!!

Anyone see the 60 mins Perez interview yesterday?

It's her own damn fault for sticking her head out in public - what was she thinking? That guy is a slimy weasel, but he's OUR slimy weasel!
I thought the interviewer was weak. How about a few questions about dismantling the courts?
