Here is the correct link

and that system wouldn't work. No way the bigger bowls like the Orange Bowl or Fiesta Bowl would want to become quarterfinal games in a playoff system.

There def is gonna be some problems this year. I have a feeling the BCS would have preferrred an undefeated Louisville and explaining why/whynot the Big East should get the Championship bid. Now...if things go as expected...

Undefeated
*OSU

1 Loss Teams
Louisville (to Rutgers)
WVU (to Louisville)
Rutgers (to WVU...we'll see)
Michigan (to OSU)
*Texas (to OSU)
*USC (to Oregon State)
Auburn (to Arkansas)
*Florida (to Auburn)
Notre Dame (to Michigan)

*conference champs
But with OSU..that's 10 teams....10 BCS bowl spots...that's gonna be awsome...but...we'll have to wait and see.

Boise State is undefeated and they will be getting a BCS slot if they continue to win and get into the Top 12 of the BCS rankings.

Can you say Texas vs. Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl? I can... Since Glendale, AZ is hosting the BCS title game - they get the very last pick. Boise most certainly will be the last BCS pick, if they are eligble.

Also, three Big East teams can't and won't be selected for the BCS. A max of two teams (conference champ and one at-large) can be selected from any one conference.

touche salesman. Auburn is a team that (possibly) could sneak under the radar for the national championship bid without winning their conference. Even if Arkansas loses 1 conference game they have the HtH advantage over Auburn.

So, what does the BCS do if Rutgers beats WVa (And is undefeated)?

Seriously, what do they do?

If they win out, they will be Big East Champs and be somewhere in the BCS. They might not just make it high enough to qualify for the BCS Championship game. Mostly because they weren't ranked at the beginning of the year like Ohio St, Michigan, Florida, Auburn, Texas, USC, etc.

and because their schedule is a complete joke.

after dud games from OSU and UMich last week, i don't think there are any untouchable teams this year, championship could go to whoever is lucky enough to get picked.

IF this season doesn't result in an alteration of the College Football post season - nothing will. And that's especially true if Rutgers wins out, and plays the Umich/OSU winner and gets drilled.

Keeping in mind that the human polls still count for 2/3 of the BCS, I don't think RU gets ranked high enough to get into the "championship" game. BUT, what a game last night...I thought they were cooked down 25-7. When they were dropping all those balls I said, "It shows that Rutgers has never played in a big game" and then they march down the field for a TD in 4 plays showing as always, I have no idea what I'm talking about.

We forget that WVU is one of the more storied teams in big east history...

I've yet to find anything supporting this.

.......and you won't, either.

What if Rutgers were to beat OSU or Michigan in the BCS game? Would people still want the system revamped?

IMHO that is the only possible ending that would show that the BCS system is correct. I really dont think Rutgers will get enough human votes though...even if they beat WVU.

How would this work when they would have 2 losses?

I was going to tally up all the Big East teams in bowl games over the entirety of each of the major 5 bowls (1936-Present, for most), but thought it would be a huge waste of time. Thanks for taking the time, Rob. :D

My thoughts on the game...Ville let up and their lack of defense showed up again. Can't blame the last play on one guy...they shouldn't have been in that situation anyway. No way Rutgers beats WV.

What about California (to Tennessee)? If Cal beats USC in 2 weeks, they are the conference champs. They may be the conference champs even if they lose to USC.

Auburn has one loss...but since Arkansas has the Head-To-Head over them...even if Arkansas loses to Tennessee OR LSU (not both)...then Arkansas would get the Automatic bid to the SEC title game...having one-loss Florida and one-loss Arkansas...the loser would have 2 losses...the winner (and Auburn) would have 1 each. See what Im sayin? Similar to Oklahoma not winning their conference 3 years back but still having a better record than other teams.
