Arsenal should win but this is a great matchup. Dallas-native Lee Nguyen plays for PSV, but is out injured with a shoulder problem. both play a pretty brand of soccer with speed and short, decisive passing that moves the ball around. Arsenal is having trouble scoring, but Henry is awesome.
Real and Bayern both sit in 4th place in their respective leagues, but this should still be good to watch. lots of star quality on the field. maybe a draw in this one, though.
Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho led Porto to the Champions League title a few years back, which got him noticed for the Chelsea job. now they cant beat Porto in any competition. maybe this is the time.
Barcalona are having issues internally and Liverpool cant score or defend, but cant lose either. If the stars come to play for Barca, the will win handily. but Liverpool can make this ugly and pull out a draw or victory with a lucky strike from Steven Gerrard, Dirk Kuyt, or John Arne Riise.

Bellamy adds new twist to soccer violence when he attacks a teammate
Bellamy (Liverpool) attacked John Arne Riise with a golf club by swinging at his legs over a karaoke competition. That did not sit well with Liverpool's new American owners.

Really disappointed in the show that Arsenal put on last night, very uninspiring. They just didn't really show up and it was one of the worst games I have seen them play in awhile.

Manchester destorys Roma
The UEFA Champions League Final is only a month away and already Manchester United have shown that they are determined as ever to lift the trophy again.
For those who missed it today, they absolutely destroyed Rima 7-1 in what was supposed to be a very close nail-biter of a game. They now will play the winner of the AC Milan and Bayern Munich game tomorrow.
That series is tied 2-2 with Munich possessing two crucial away goals.
In the other game today Chelsea moved on to the semis with a 2-1 win over Valencia (Spain) with a late goal. They will most likely face Liverpool who play PSV Eindhoven (Holland) tomorrow but already have three away goals to nil from the first leg.
Any other soccer fanatics want to offer up their predictions for the next round?
Im going with
Manchester vs Milan
2 1
2 2
Chelsea vs Liverpool
1 0
1 3
Final
Manchester vs Liverpool
3 2

i watched the ManU game on TiVo and was shocked that Roma was so bad. I thought this game would be really good after the stuff between the teams (red cards) and fans (police beatings in Rome). but ManU decided that they were gonna teach Roma a lesson and it took about 30 minutes to do. then they rubbed the proverbial faces in the dirt by putting up 4 more goals in the next hour.
peace.

too bad i think the best goal in that game was the one roma had where rossi had his back to the goal and volleyed a cross from totti into the corner with out looking at the goal. Either that or carrick's second one where he picked the top right corner from about 30 yds out

the best was de rossi, but Carricks is one that you dream for if you are a midfielder.

De Rossi's goal was sick, carrick's was a goal i thought only Rooney was really capable of scoring. ManU were actually rumored to be linked with a move for DeRossi last summer but when he lost control and head butted McBride of the U.S. in the W.C. the rumors stopped...

Dont know about DeRossi, but ManU had rumors about a player named Guiseppi Rossi who they already own last summer. he is a young forward with Italian and American citizenship who they loaned to Newcastle and then to Fiorentina on the Italian league. maybe you got them confused cuz i didnt think Roma would let DeRossi go.
peace.

They loaned Rossi to Parma (ironically the club they bought him from),
I'm sure it was just rumors, they were/are in need of a DM and DeRossi is no slouch at that position.

Just learned that Liverpool won on penalty kicks against Chelsea to move into the UEFA Finals. They now await the winner of Man U and Milan.
Wonder if there had been several English Premier teams playing each other in the UEFA title game?
