Wisconsin was the best team I watched all year when they played. Elliot is too strong in net and that defense in front of him, wow. Minnesota had an amazing offense with horrendous D and the goaltending was shaky at the end of the season and you can't have that. If you watch or played hockey you know you need a hot goalie to win the title, Elliot was that for the Badgers.
To the guy curious about seniors for the Badgers...
The Badgers lose Gilbert (A, top defenseman on team, probably second best in the land)
Adam Burrish (C, team leader, good penalty killer, not a huge goal scorer)
Ryan MacMurchy (A, big physical force in the corners, not a huge goal scorer)
And fellow 4th liners, AJ Degenhardt and Nick Licari both play very physical even though they are the smallest guys on the ice usually, and played a significant role in the 3 OT victory vs Cornell in the regional finals. (I was at the game and boy was it AWESOME!)
