actually the colts could play the pats in the AFC title game. This would only happen if NE beats jacksonville, and then beats the broncos, and then the steelers would have to beat Cin. for that to happen.

It's hard to believe that this year's Super Bowl will match half the excitement of the Rose Bowl last night! Simply one of the most amazing, thrilling games I've ever seen anywhere. Vince Young's stock soared last night, he truly was in-"vince"-able, and would not let his team lose. Anybody ever see a better game? Reggie looked like a mere mortal at times, couldn't sweep around the outside.
If VY declares for the draft, do you think there is any way that the Texans wouldn't take him? How great would that for be the state of Texas?
My picks - Colts vs Denver in the AFC championship. Seattle vs. Carolina in the NFC. Colts/Carolina in the SB. Carolina wins! (All that is just because I drew Carolina in my football pool  )

Even Vince wouldn't be able to do the things he did last night if he went to Texas. A large reason why he was so successful is because he has a great offensive line. Not that Vince doesn't deserve it, but his line isn't getting enough credit in my eyes. They played great and opened it up so Vince could run and pass. Houston needs to trade the pick and get some lineman later, cause even with Vince, they are still going to be towards the top of leading the league in Sacks given up if they don't do something about their line. Just my 2 cents.

I hope that Vince stays for one more year. Only because of his passing ability. Also I would hate to half to go to the Texans.

If the Texans drafted him, i would think he would be more successful than David Carr because he does have better escape ability.

I think if Young stays at UT (that's just for you Ethan) for anotheryear, it's likely that the Texans will still be in position to draft him.

Next week's games:

New England @ Denver
Pittsburgh @ Indianapolis
Carolina @ Chicago
Washington @ Seattle

Frankly, I'm worried for the playoff lives of my beloved Broncos.

Well the Texans are going to have a chance to draft him this year. He entered the draft. I think he would do more good for the Texans than Reggie Bush anyway. With no line it would be tough for Reggie to get moving. At least with Vince when you have a little chaos he can get moving in a hurry. But I have to agree without a line neither of them are going to do much good.

Sounds like you've been listening to Sean Salsbury from ESPN!
I have Carolina in one of my football pools, so I agree wholeheartedly.
(In my other pool I ended up with the Bengals. 1 for 2)

Until someone makes a believer out of me, I don't think the patriots and Tom Brady can be beaten in the Playoffs. They looked down-right dominant against the Jaguars who have a pretty decent offensive team. Their defense played incredible. This is their time of the season. They have become the team that doesn't really start playing their game until the playoffs start.

Out of the NFC I think that you have to go with one of two teams, one with the Best offensive player - Shaughn Alexander, or the one with the Best Defensive player - Brian Urlacher. It is a tough Call.

My Picks -
New England over Denver - I don't know if the Denver defense can keep up.
Indy over Pittsburgh - Blow out. Indy will be ready to prove something. The Steeler corners aren't that great. And were it not for a fluke injury, I don't know if they beat Cinncinati.

Chicago over Carolina. Rex Grossman gives them a Better option than Orton, but I think it will be there defense that wins it for Da' Bears.
Seattle will beat Washington - The skins aren't going to be able to have another offensive performance like they did last week and expect to win. Seattle likes to control the ball, and the best running team in the league will go to work. Hasselbeck can make the plays when needed.

The team with the first round bye & home field advantage wins 81% of the time. So, the smart play is to pick Chicago, Seattle, Denver, Indianapolis. You have an 81% chance of being right in each game.

John Lynch and Champ Bailey are going to make Tom Brady cry like a 6 year old girl with a skinned knee.

I might be a bit of a Denver homer because I lived in Aurora, Co. for about 5 years but, their merits cannot be overlooked. They are an amazing team and if it wasnt for a week 1 mishap against miami, they'd be tied for best record in the league.

Bottom line is Mike Shannahan is an offensive, namely rushing, genuis.

Denver by 7 vs NE

Denver by 13 vs whatever chump the NFC puts up. (including the seahawks)

Well i was wrong. It's happened before. The patriots literally coughed it up. The Broncos took advantage of Patriots mistakes and the good teams do that. Jake Plummer is finally playing like a star QB.
