I'm right there with you on Nevada and Ariz. St.

Looks like Boise St. is the one you need to take command of the picks.

culax, I noticed that you don't have Nebraska as a lock over Michigan.
Tamu, I too hope the Cougars rise tonight!
I also have Nevada picked, and saw on espn.com that they sold all of 100 tickets to the game. I'm sure they'll be invited back!
Also saw that Northwestern, one of my upset picks, has kicked three players off the team for the game. Perhaps they're trying to lull UCLA into complacency? I can only hope.
Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays to all of my USLIA.com brethren

Everyone but NELax may be chanting "remember the Alamo" when Nebraska makes cream corn of the Maize and Blue.

because i was born in baltimore and have only lived in nebraska for 5 years, i am not a member of husker nation. while i am a coach callahan fan, his son plays on the nebraska lax team, i don't give nebraska much of a chance against michigan.

my "sources" at northwestern university tell me not to worry about the suspensions. i am still taking the cats.

kansas is my road warrior, december-to-remember, monster mortgage lifter, triple diamond, straight-up selection tonight.

OK gamblers I need your help. I want to bet on USC-Texas with Texas (+7) Should I take USC. I am not going to put my life savings on the line but I just want to know what you would do. Vegas has it at 7.5 so if it is a touchdown and extra point victory it is a push. Heck some casinos/bookies have it as high as +9 Texas.

I wouldn't do it, only because I don't have confidence in either team! I don't think either of them has shown enough consistency against quality teams to convince me they are worthy. That being the case, I think this game could be very close, or a blow out, for either team.

I'd put my money on Carolina Saturday, stick a fork in the Cowboys and serve those turkeys for Christmas dinner! Hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it.

USC-Texas

Postby Dan Wishengrad on Fri Dec 23, 2005 4:45 pm

forget the point spread and bet the OVER -- it is a mortal lock.

With those two offenses ands lack of defenses, the combined score might break 100 in this game...

And by the way Shrekj -- if you think it is possible for USC to get "blown out" in this game then you are betting with your Texas-heart and sure not with your head... best to refrain from betting entirely!

Yeah the over is floating around 70 to 74.5... not sure if I want to do that. I see the stats like this

USC
Leinert - 180yds 1 TD passing
Bush - 130yds 2 TD rushing, 75 yds rec, 60 return yds
White - 110yds 1 TD rushing,
Jarrett and Smith (WRs) - 105 rec 1 TD

(PK) 1 FG
For a score of 31

Texas
V. Young - 150 passing 1 TD, 2 INTs, 75 yds 1 TD rushing
Charles (RB) - 85 yds 1 TD
S. Young, Melton, Taylor (#2 RBs) - 160 yds, 40 yds rec
Thomas, Pittman and Sweed (WRs) - 110 yds rec 1 TD

(PK) 2 FG

For a score of 27

Wish you could see me doing the Happy Dance tonight! 5-0

Looks like Flak can get back in it with a big upset in Hawaii.

to save sonny the trouble:

please be advised that no post in this forum should be interpreted to encourage or condone gambling on ncaa sanctioned athletic competition. any information/advice/commentary is provided solely for entertainment purposes.

i apologize if i sound like a lawyer, but corbin already outed me.

you are right on lil lady. my comments are intended to mock the saturday early morning vegas prognostication shows. those clowns are very annoying. how can each of them be a perfect 5-0 each week? just how many games of the year can you have in a single season?

my "analysis" for the rose bowl will have to wait until later this week.

merry christmas to all. and to all a good night.
