Agree that booing isn't the classiest of things, but what more can you really do if you are trying to show disapproval for the POTUS?

Umm. Vote better?

It's just a joke people. Laugh.

Remain silent. I think only hearing a few people applauding him would have been better than a noisy crowd battling each other for who can be louder for or against him.

I support liberals for the same reason.

Actually, I am pretty conservative, just not neo-conservative.

I think all the bickering between conservatives and liberals is garbage, and a convenient distraction from the real issues like why the hell are we in Iraq? Why was a 9-11 investigation panel put together by George Bush, and not by an independent panel? How do you do an investigation when you are told what happened first?

Nothing will change with Hillary, Obama or McCain. They are all the same no matter what crap they spew.

We have done this for far too long and look where it has gotten us. A little dissent now and then is not a bad thing. I think that even the Founding Fathers would agree with that.

Which is the more classless offense: booing or trashing a man's property?

A little descent now and then is not a bad thing.

I corrected my spelling error. I assume that never happens with you. If that is all you got, that's all you got.

I had to endure one of your patented meandering, 2000-word cut-and-paste clinics on another thread for a mild anachronism. Pointing out a beautiful malaprop without you getting knickers bunched isn't too much to ask.

Or should I just boo?

Do you get a bulk rate on your Windex or what?

I'll assume this is a well-crafted zinger.

Cliff, my counterparts in the refereeing fraternity are heartened by your support! Usually the booing is accompanied by comments such as "you are a blind, classless moron!"

I have no issue with booing, although the cascade of derisory whistling you hear at foreign soccer games is a welcome alternative. What I DO find really disturbing was the recent article in Sports Illustrated on the behavior of fans at college basketball games. Forget booing, we're talking about vile, disgusting profanity directed at the parents of players in the game. THAT really needs to be addressed.

Tex, the low public opinion of "Congress" is a historical truism, whether it is controlled by the GOP or the Dems, and no matter who the Prez is. The great irony is that the opinion is always of the Congress in general. When people are asked about their specific representatives (House or Senate), the opinion is always "Oh, he/she does a great job!" Hence the fact that incumbents in the low-rated Congress are re-elected at a rate of well over 90%. If we got to vote for representatives from OTHER states the results might be different!

[quote="KnoxVegas"]Everyone in the joint had just watched last week's Frontline.

Definitely a free speech issue and I would boo him for the simple fact that he was at a baseball game and he ruined my beloved Rangers now so many years ago.

quote]

Knox -

I don't know if you have been watching the Rangers the last few years, but Tom Hicks ruined them when he fired Doug Melvin

Chan Ho Park
Alex Rodriguez - not saying he was a bad player, but Hicks should not have given him that contract.
Thinking they could win with old players like Juan Gonzales, Ken Caminiti, and others.

As for the president being booed, I would not have. Yes he has made some poor decisions during his time in office, but that time will be over in a few months, so nothing really to worry about. I still respect him. As I would any other president. Don't care for Clinton's actions in office, but I still believe that he is deserving (really as all people are) of my respect. Booing the president would be like throwing a pie at his face up close - I wouldn't do it.

Never happens to me. Liberals like to brag about how smart they are and strive to add as many letters to the beginning or end of their name as possible, yet they can't even spell. Kinda sad. Liberalism is killing public schools and it shows on this message board.

Personally, I'd go for the wildly sarcastic applause. I mean, just really go nuts.

I am a fan of impromptu "USA!" chants. Usually done at random/weird times.
