LOL I had to leave for lax practice with VT ahead 10-0 and the Sox clinging to a 2-1 lead. Not only did I miss channel-surfing the end of both games, but froze my ass off because we were supposed to be practicing inside the warmth of Dempsey and got moved to an outdoors field instead, and I wasn't wearing a heavy enough coat and had no wool cap to protect my ears. Brrrr.

Questions, questions, questions...
So what are the odds we will see BC vs Oregon for the national title?
Will Florida still be in top 20, and if so, do they deserve to be?
Will UW now fire Coach Ty after a sixth straight loss drops the Dawgs into the Pac-10 cellar?
Can UCLA only beat strong teams and lose to weak teams? No wait, they beat the Huskies, so that can't be right...

Hey Knox,
I think UCLA and Tennessee should play in a bowl game to determine who wins the title of the ultimate split personality football team.

You have to love Club Med College football. Could we please see a team play their normal defense that got them the lead? Seriously it was going to take them at least 6 seconds to get to the end zone, and I would think most teams playing their basic defense could stop that.

Way to go, Philip! Snatching victory from sure defeat. Blowin' a 21-point halftime lead and winning only after the Succop missed a kick.
This was going to be the greatest night ever. Blowing a 21-point lead and losing to the OBC all while getting boo'ed out of Neyland. Now we are in control of our own destiny. The horror! The horror of it all!

Is anyone else sas shocked as I am that Uconn will probably be in the top 20 next poll? I hope Skip Holtz is happy wherever he is.

BC vs. Oregon? Absolutely zero, BC is weak, they beat a rebuilding (yeah I said it) VA Tech and Oregon hasn't proven they are here for the long haul. Beating USC is nice but not with Sanchez at QB and in Autzen. Don't get me wrong I'm a Duck fan here, but we'll talk in a couple weeks about Oregon being in the title hunt. I've followed Dixon for too long to be a believer right now.
And will UW fire Willingham? Again chances are absolutely zero, for now. He still has at least til the end of the 08 season and I would guess through 09 to get a winning season. He has redshirt frosh Locker at Q which is huge, he is getting important PT now (and he is just a baller IMHO), and Rankin will only be getting better while Willingham fills in the holes on the OLine and defense. UW does not have the national TV contract to play for or the ridiculous (and racist?) boosters breathing down his neck like in South Bend. If you compare Willingham and Weis through this point in their tenures at ND there is no excuse for Weis still having a job. Anyway, Willingham will be a fixture win or lose for two years in Seattle, maybe a decade if he gets the wins I'm pretty sure he will.

Rankin is a graduating Senior, Will, and with J.R. Hasty quitting the team this week to transfer out, the cupboard of running backs is bare for '08. Our O and D lines will be terrible again, Locker will be on his own without any protection or receivers to throw to. The recruiting class coming in is pretty weak.
And as far as Ty's future, the most influential writer in Seattle apparently disagrees with you, here's today's headline column:

I now doubt Ty will last until next year, he is gone if we lose the Apple Cup for sure. Sad.

Danny, where would you put the Gators after losing three games so far? Do you think they deserve to remain in the top 25?

Sheesh Will, and I always liked you up until this one absolutely indefensible, outrageous, stupid, unsportsmanlike and classless statement has ruined you in my eyes, and forever. Having committed these hateful words to print now, they can never be taken back!
Sonny, can I assign 1,000,000 negative reputation points with a single click, or do I have to hand them out one at a time?
