In the Car: Foo Fighters: In Your Honor. So far it sounds good. I'm still in the process of really sifting through the album to form an opinion.

At home: Pearl Jam: Alpine Valley June 23rd, 2003. If you never been to a Pearl Jam concert or Alpine Valley for that matter, I highly recommend.

Sublime: 40 oz. to Freedom. Can't go wrong with that ever!

Jack Johnson and Ben Harper: Summerfest 2003

Donavon Frankenrieter

Pat McCurdy ( A local WI favorite)

Matt,

I must give you some kudos for your taste in music. My Chemical Romance, Straylight Run, Reliant K...excellent work. You describe yourself as a music snob? I'm right there with you.

Lil Lady Lax Fan, I applaud you for having the Dandy Warhols.

Also, anyone who says Fallout Boy is great is absolutely correct.

I glommed onto the Dandy Warhols while listening to KCRW here in LA. They have a great morning show called "Morning Becomes Eclectic" with Nick Harcourt that plays a great mix of music. You can listen to them online at:

Me, I'll listen to just about anything except twangy country music. Never got into that.

I had to check out Fall Out Boy after the rave reviews on here. I think I'm going to have to get an album now.

Anybody heard of Wide Awake? I'm not sure of what their popularity is outside of Austin. They're a local favorite around here, I'd definitely suggest checking them out.

When I'm not at work I've been listening to a lot of Straylight Run and Bright Eyes lately.

At work I'm usually driving out in the boondocks and the only station that comes in is country so I'm starting to kind of like some of that stuff. I never thought that would happen, but it kind of grows on you.

They are the type of band you either like or dislike, I have met few people in between on them.

They are a product of GBS (Glenbrook South) for those that know the Chicago high schools.

Another Chicago band I recommend is Lucky Boys Confusion. Another pop-punk band with a little reggae in them. They have a big fan base at Iowa and Illinois as they play each school at least once a semester. They had a song on MVP Baseball 2004.

If you're into Ska I recommend HepCat. They're from the LA area. Went to see them in concert at the House of Blues on Sunset in April--really had the place bouncin'! The opening act, Ocean 11, was also great. The horn player, in particular, was fantastic.

Heard this one song by a guy by the name of Laslow Bane.....He does a rendition of "Overkill" originally done by Men at Work. It's awesome.....Colin Haye, the singer from Men at Work sings in the song as well.....Haven't heard his other stuff but I will..........I was also curious as to what the Dandy Warhols album sounds like....haven't heard them for a while but I liked their old stuff.

I highly reccomend checking out Pepper for a little Hawaiian flavored reggae. Makes everything feel alright!

If you are feeling a little more experimental and want some world music flavored jazz I will now plug my brother's band Caveman. Free samples available for download at www.cavemanlove.com

Now that they have sunglasses with MP3 players, can we get a helmet with one so I can rock out to Twisted Sister ala Iron Eagle while I'm playing?

my brother has an mp3 player backpack (don't ask, I have no idea when someone would need that either), so i'm sure the technology is there for the mp3 helmet.
