They're not yelling boo. They're yelling "Loouuuu!" (For all the Don & Mike fans out there)
I will give him credit for getting it across the plate. The man can throw a baseball.

Eh, I'm all for free speech but have always thought booing anyone was pretty low brow and shows a lack of class.

No problem booing the president at all. The guy is pure evil and should be arrested for treason and murder, but most people in this country have their head in the sand. They don't think that fascism can happen here. Guess what? It''s happening. I fully support the troops, because I feel bad for them. They are being taken advantage of by our war mongering administration that only care about their corporate buddies.

I support liberals for the same reason.
Jac, we liberals are touched by your compassion! Some of us feel bad for you right-wingers, too. Beginning with the Gingrich revolution in '94 some of you stated you would dominate American politics for a century and rule with an iron fist over us poor, sorry Democrats. But we've already taken both houses of Congress back, we will strengthen this hold in the general election, increase our share of Governors and state house majorities and very likely take back the Presidency, too.
But we will be compassionate towards your poor GOP, which will be nothing more than a noisy and increasingly irrelevant minority party. But we feel your pain.

I really have to laugh at liberals. They point out the President's approval rating without mentioning that the Democratically controlled Congress' ratings are lower than Bush's.
The issue is that you do not boo a President while he is making a ceremonial appearance. You can protest all you want at a political event.

Thanks, Dano. I appreciate your future benevolence.
I'm kind of looking forward to being a minority in this country. I can mindlessly bash the evil majority for squashing my rights, as well as denounce the inqualities inherent with being kept down by "The Man." I also get to conjure up all sorts of cool conspiracy theories (I'll start with global cooling). Man, I can't wait!

It was a political event. He is not a private citizen. Being POTUS is a 24-hour a day job. If you don't want to face the common folk and their potential displays of approval or disapproval, then go hide out in the bunker with Cheney.
Did you watch the broadcast? Bush talked about going to the Ukraine today. Is that yet another vacation? No, it is a political trip. He is currently the POTUS. It comes with the job. If it is ok to say "Great job, Mr. President!" and cheer, it surely is ok to boo. You have to take it both ways.
Then again, he has done such a great job the last seven years, those people were morons for booing last night.![Rolling Eyes ](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)

Anyone who boos anyone else is a classless moron. To me, it's right up there with yelling profanity, obscene gestures, and any other idiotic behavior you can think of. It doesn't matter if the target is a NBA player, MCLA goalie, little leaguer, or POTUS.

You are entitled to your opinion. I would lump your opinion in with sports leagues for children that don't keep score or schools that do not hand out grades. Life is unfair. The opposite of approval is disapproval. You cannot have one without the other.
Booing is as old as time. At least they didn't stone him, you know that method of disapproval endorsed in the Bible.

Agree that booing isn't the classiest of things, but what more can you really do if you are trying to show disapproval for the POTUS? If someone would have thrown something out there or did something else they would have been put down with a shot through the dome. Booing when it comes to the Pres. isn't really that bad.
