What I will be saying may not be exactly what John Denver sang, but if I remember what the lyrics were... "Mountain Mama... down the road... West Virginia..." Something like that. Did some quick research. The name of the song is "Take Me Home, Country Roads." Ironically, John Denver was born in Roswell, New Mexico and did not actually grow up in West Virginia. My mom would sing that sometimes because she is mighty proud of her home state, West Virginia. I do enjoy their scenic and winding roads. :wink:

I am sure the Mountaineers players have heavy hearts tonight (so far, they are winning...), and their Guv had to cancel his plans being at the game to go back to W. Va to be with the emergency people and the families of the miners. I hope the 13 miners would be rescued and saved.

Westy- 31, Georgia- 21. If the trend continues, Georgia will storm back to win... but I'm praying for West Virginia. Bring the Big East back to respectability!

WVU 38, UGA 35 (final). That is a shock. Huge win for the Big East.

Li = 13-13
L = 13-13
CJ = 13-13
D = 13- 13
T = 15-11
CU = 17-9
S = 17-9
F = 18-8
N = 19-7

It's now down to two... If either Penn State or USC wins; Nelax21 wins it all. If Texas and Florida State win; then FLAK wins. Shrekjr and CULax can not win because their picks are the same as Nelax21's .

Some surprise picks and results

Nebraska only picked by Nelax21's (Nebraska 32 Michigan 28)
Tulsa only picked by Tamu33 (Tulsa 31 Fresno St. 24)
Iowa only picked by DanGanek (Florida 31 Iowa 24)
Louisville only picked by laxfan25 (VTech 35 Louisville 24)
Akron, Colorado and Iowa St. only picked by Lil Lady (Memphis 38 Akron31 - Clemson 19 Colorado 10 - TCU 27 Iowa St. 24)

Nobody picked Missouri or Utah (Missouri 38 South Carolina 31 - Utah 38 Georgia Tech 10)

Well that pick shouldn't count...Dan had insider information.

Also, I can't believe no one has said anything about Notre Dame's continual choke job in bowl games. This is the 8th straight bowl game they've lost, and, in my opinion, it couldn't happen to a better team.

Not that we did much to prove ourselves, I am still so happy they lost.

Is West Virginia over Georgia the upset of the season? What a great game... two teams that played with a tremendous amount of heart and pride in their programs.
