Lunar Eclipse

Very crisp, absolutely clear skies here in Grand Rapids with a beautiful eclipse. Isn't it great how these simple things in nature can fill you with awe and joy? A great sight.

Yeah, this and a meteorite two mornings ago that was visible from here to Portland. It's been a good week!

I think they have video from surveillance cameras on the meteorite floating around somewhere.

It was a great sight from nebraska....even warranted standing out in the cold for a while.

Yep - let the kids stay up until 9:30 to watch it.

I'd not seen one that clear before. One can understand how early cultures would freak out at the moon (or sun) disappearing like that with no explanation or warning.

In AZ we missed it because it was cloudy and rainy, who would have thought that would happen in beautiful sunny Arizona.

Me too.....but fortunately I've seen a few previously. I heard this one was just great.
