If I've learned anything from my liberal friends on this board, the blame for all problems, gun violence included, lies with the following:

-Bush/Cheney
-Evangelicals
-Top 1% of wage earners
-Bill O'Reilly/Fox News
-Scooter Libby
-Bill Belichick
-Don Rumsfeld
-Conservative talk radio
-NRA

Everyone else is absolved of self-accountability.

Hahaha!

Perhaps next lacrosse game the ref doesn't throw a flag on the on the player who commits the penalty...but his parents for letting him play Mortal Kombat...or because they paid too much attention...or not enough attention when they were little...or w/e reason exists that ceases to blame the guilty party for the wrong they did.

This reminds me of a quote from one of my favorite books, The Gift Of Fear by Gavin DeBecker. It's all about using your intuition to predict aggressive behavior and keep yourself safe. I recommend that every single person (especially women) read it.
"Just think about how we live: We are searched for weapons before boarding a plane, visiting city hall, seeing a television show taping, or attending a speech by the president. Our government buildings are surrounded by barricades, and we wrestle through so-called tamper-proof packaging to get a couple aspirin. All of this was triggered by the deeds of fewer than ten dangerous men who got our attention by frightening us. What other quorum in American history, save those who wrote our constitution, could claim as much impact on our day-to-day lives?"
